With a nod to the past and an eye to the future, building materials were recycled wherever possible. Floorboards from the lodge, made of Canadian jarrah, were used to make doors and
to frame their external openings. Twenty thousand bricks were cleaned and recycled during the build.
All the stair treads were made from timber sourced from a former rope factory.

Materials were carefully selected to reference the past. Traditional methods were then used to turn them into one-of-a-kind features. The freestanding external lights were shaped by hand and aged to a bronze finish. The copper cladding was hand rolled by European craftsmen. The timber floorboards from the original church hall were repurposed to create the feature doors as well as the window and door reveals.
